Flail
You have built your first shield, and have tried your hand at swords. But, you still seem to have trouble getting around that one fighter, and their tower shield. No matter how many times you spar with them, and no matter how many times you have practiced your wrap shot, that shield still seems to get in the way. You wish you had a weapon that could curl around that tower, and strike your opponent. Your friend suggests you use a flail. It seems like an incredible idea, but you have no flail in your weaponry. Let's remedy that, shall we?
In this tutorial you will learn how to build a flail. This is not an easy build, and will take more time than a basic sword, club, or most other weapons. This build should be for moderately experienced foamsmiths. This is a lower-cost build and uses primarily blue foam to be wallet-friendly. you will need the following tools: Scissors, DAP Contact cement, Blue foam, Sand paper, PVC pipe (Schedule 40 or 80), razor blades or a box cutter, a ruler, hockey tape, rope (Synthetic, 1" thick not natural fibers for duration), a flexible measuring tape (like one found in sewing kits), ladies' trouser socks, a steel washer, para-cord or cotton line, and blue electrical tape.
